ASTM A36 Standard: Defined as Low-Carbon Steels that are Commonly Utilized in Construction and the Heavy Equipment Industries. The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Identify A36 by Its Chemical Composition and Mechanical Properties; Especially Yield Strength Reaching a Minimum of 36,000 psi.
Low Carbon 1018: A Medium Manganese Content. Has Good Hardening Properties, Fair Machinability and is Excellent for Cold-Bending and Forming Operations. Readily Brazed, Welded and Suitable for Shafting. Conforms to ASTM A-108 and AMS 5069. (Except for Bars Under 2-15/16” Dia. and Sizes Lighter than 29.34 lbs per Foot).

Combine the Strength Advantages of Cold-Drawn Stock with Extra Accuracy and Lustrous Finish. Conforms to ASTM A-108 and QQ-S-637.
Classification of Finishing Processes often Used for Metal Shafting. Turned on a Lathe to Create Straight Round Bars without the Strain Induced by Cold-Drawing, while Grinding & Polishing Betters the Surface Finish and Roundness for High Dimensional Accuracy.
